Thirty four years makes this one of the
pioneer lakefront charity events. Yes,
it's a fundraiser, but don't let that
fool you, it's a fun raiser, too. You'll
have fun visiting our outdoor bazaar
with food (delicious), games (for the
entire family) and entertainment
(wholesome).
The goal for this year’s WJBAT is to
raise $250,000 to continue the
speicalized services that we offer to
the community. The WJBAT is SCDAI’s
major fundraiser for the year, Its
financial success depends on the support
of the community. This year HEAVY
emphasis is being place on TEAM
PARTICIPATION. Of course, if you prefer
to just kick up your heels and lounge
about on the grass, or stick your toes
in Lake Michigan, that's OK, too.
We can't imagine a better trade-off: You
have the fun, SCDAI gets the funds!
At the end of the day everybody will
have enjoyed a good time doing a good
thing for folks with sickle cell
disease. For them, there are very few
pain-free days.
